Unopened Quartz Geodes from Chihuahua, Mexico - $10/lb

Using a wet saw is the easiest way to cut open a geode, but they can also be cracked open with a hammer. Place the geode inside a sock to protect yourself from flying debris. Another method is to use a flat chisel and hammer to score the circumference of the geode until a crack appears, then the geode will easily break open with a hammer.

Note: Not all geodes are hollow and we can’t guarantee that each individual geode will be hollow. You never know what you will find inside until you crack it open.
