Laguna Agate Slabs from Mexico
Laguna Agate slabs are a variety of banded Chalcedony (a mineral of the Quartz family). Some say that Laguna Agate is the most beautiful banded agate in the world! The Laguna Agate area is about 150 miles south of the U.S./Mexican border. It occurs in a north-south trending mountain range north of Chihuahua City, Mexico.
