Nunderite Slabs from Australia

We still have some Nunderite (Nundoorite) slabs! This stuff was mined out years ago. It came from a single source in Nundoora Station, New South Wales, Australia. It is not a true jasper, but instead a aegirine-orthoclase syenite. Nunderite is nice and hard and quite uniform in pattern, color and structure. It cuts like most jaspers and takes a fine polish with diamond, or aluminum oxide. Mohs hardness 6.5.
