Pink Elephant Stone Slabs from Australia

Pink Elephant Stone slabs are pink phenocrysts in basalt.  They are rather unusual, and fun to work with.  It cuts a nice, hard gemstone.  They make fine display pieces or fun coasters and trivets.  It polishes well with diamond, aluminum oxide, or tin oxide.
